Click on this link to get immediate help from qualified tutors in mathematics, science, English, research-based subjects and study skills via the Internet. This free service allows anyone to come into the Stirling Library or log on from home, Monday-Friday, from 4pm to 8pm (all you need to access it from home is broadband internet and the software 'shockwave' which is available to download free, and your library card membership number).
  • Homework Helpers - Canterbury Public Library, NSW has put together a good annotated listing of links, plus hard copy books, under headings such as human body, inventions, Australian animals and gold rush.
  • Homework Help - Forrest Primary School, ACT has collected a good set of links for Australian primary school kids.
  • Cybersmart Kids Online - . ABC site with links aimed at 3 levels: littlies, kids and young people. Good for Australian content. Contains links to Kidsclick and Yahooligans - great international sites for homework help.
  • Trinity - Assignment and project topics in key learning and curriculum areas. Trinity College, WA has aimed this site at secondary school students who need help with assignments. Choose your subject from the drop down box at the top of the page.
  • Community Profile - Includes information on our council area including population, religion, employment, education and housing statistics.
  • History - Section of the BBC website dedicated to history topics such as ancient civilisations, wars, people and places.
  • Health Insite - Australian government website that provides up-to-date and quality assessed information on diseases, health and wellbeing etc. Use the Quick Search box or the A to Z Health Topics link to find information quickly.
  • The Spinney Press - Collection of social issues links - discrimination, families, poverty, justice.
  • Science.gov - US Government gateway that contains comprehensive links on science topics such as: biology, maths, physics, chemistry. Aimed at older audiences.
